Going to buy GTX 960 4GB VRAM. Will my processor affect FPS?

Planning on buying the gtx 960 (4gb). I have a AMD FX 4130 processor (quad core @ 3.8 ghz). Will this affect my FPS when I'm playing for example Far Cry 4 on high/ultra?

thanks for the reply. i will not play witcher 3 or batman arkham knight, as i'm not so interested in them. i bought this card specially for mafia 3, fallout 4, wolfenstein (the new order & old blood) and the borderlands games. currently i have a gtx 650 ti (1gb) and it rules bl2 at 60 fps when there's nothing happening, but it drops to 40-35 when i'm in fights or similar stuff. if, say, i want to upgrade my cpu, is an i5 good enough?

you would need a new motherboard as well if you wanted an i5

yeah, you cant have an i5 with that.

you would need to buy an intel based motherboard.



luckily your motherboard supports the fx 8320. which would be a nice upgrade for you
