Hello all,

I understand there are a lot of threads on this topic, But I couldn't resist.

I've been looking around on buying a new monitor with the release of the 1070, I'll be getting one.
I can't seem to find a GOOD G-sync 1440p monitor...

I REALLY want to get the ASUS ROG PG278Q, But from a lot of forum talk, and reviews I keep seeing A LOT of RMA's from it either straight out of the box, or it died couple months down the road... Can anyone say anything about this?

Another monitor I was looking at was the Acer XB270HU, Once again, I'm seeing a lot of problems with the display, dead pixels too horrid bleeding.

Can anyone help me with a decision? Budget is 500-700ish. Thanks.

Both my friend and I both bought ROG Swifts like a year ago.
Running strong to this day.
It's not plagued by QC issues as much as the Amazon reviews say it is.
Most of those reviews were for older models and people who had extremely bad luck.
You should most likely be fine with it.
The Acer is nice, but it has more consistently had dead pixels and bleeding.

ROG Swift is probably the best bet, just my opinion.
ASUS support is decently helpful, but not the best.
But I haven't had issues with the Swift other than the fact that the screen looked like it was in 3D mode and I thought it was broken, so I called ASUS support and they weren't really helpful, so I packed up my Swift to RMA it and I decided to just give it one last test before I sealed the box so I took it out and lo and behold it's perfectly fine.

So, if you get some weird 3D anaglyph mode looking screen when 3D isn't on, just unplug the DisplayPort, restart the monitor by unplugging the power and plugging back in, and then plug back the DP.

Hope this helps

Edit:

Although this new Acer XB271HU (Yes 271 not 270) looks real sick

Thank you for your input, That is nice to know that your monitor is running smooth to this day, Makes me want to get it even more. I did see that Acer predator monitor... Once again tho, I read a lot of bleeding D:

But thank you for your input. :)

No problem.
Sucks that there's bleeding on the new 271. QC issues.
But I absolutely love the Swift, and there are no bezels and everything's smooth.
Fantastic, I definitely still recommend it. (Except you can't plug anything into it except for PCs as it doesn't have HDMI inputs or anything, just a single DisplayPort).
