Good board for FX-8350?

I've looked on the internet for a good board, but most of the posts are pretty old and price might have changed.

I'm just looking for a good motherboard for my cpu with 8+2 power phases. Since I've been told that the one I'm currently using is not a really reliable one for my setup.

My budget cannot really exceed 150$, but I don't want to be some cheap mobo that won't last me, so I'm willing to save up for a better one.

Well actually, I'm experiencing a lot of problems on my system and no one has any idea what might be causing them (random fps drop, stuttering in a lot of games, huge hiccups, etc) and they only seem to get worst. I cannot play GTA V, BF4, The Witcher 3, Skyrim, Dishonored, and more, anymore. I've been monitoring my PC's temp for a while and now noticed that my mobo is pretty much always at 60c on idle. I cleaned the inside of my PC, so it's not a dust problem. All my drivers are up to date.

I've been told by people that this mobo has a lot of issues and should be changed. I don't even bother to game on my PC anymore because of those issues as my gaming experience is more enjoyable on console.

I had no problems with GTA V or BF4 a while ago. They ran pretty well. I obviously can't run them on ultra, but medium/high and was having a good time. Now, for God knows why, GTA V is plague with stuttering and BF4 with huge fps drops after a while.

I've been running with this setup for almost a year... I fear that the board might have actually damaged my cpu.



And yea I've actually considered getting the Gigabyte since a lot of people are still recommending it, I may go with this one.

FX cores might not be as fast as Intel, but they are plenty fast for any game with the right combo. I too have an FX8350 and I play GTA V on 4k full settings with 2 R9-290's and a CFV- Mobo, and I couldn't be happier. Everyone always trying to dog AMD, they are not THAT far behind, come on!

Sorry for the late reply, I wasn't able to get the board yet (it's almost 200$ here in Canada). I will soon though, and will select the solution as soon as it is installed.

But first I have a quick question.

I was messing with "Speedfan" on my computer (the sound of my cpu stock cooler of my FX-8350 is driving me crazy) and I found that my current board (970a-G43) needs the cpu cooler fan to keep it cool (the north bridge I guess). Otherwise the temps rise to 70 degrees celsius easily (of both my cpu and board) when watching videos, downloading games and gaming.

I was wondering if I should change the cpu cooler as well as my mobo. Or are the high temps mainly because of my overheating board? I don't intend to overclock anything on my PC.

I was thinking about the 212 Evo, but the thing is, with the board, it exceeds my budget, and I don't really know if, in my situation, it's really necessary.

Especially if the Gigabyte 990FXA does a good job on cooling (well, not overheat at least), I don't think my cpu will suffer as much as it does right now from the temp of the mobo. Right now my stock cpu cooler does the job, but it has to work most of the time at 100% which makes a really annoying sound and is unbearable.
