good budget cpu that wont bottleneck the rx 480

fx 6300
or
fx 8350

my current build rn is a amd 860k cpu with a gtx 960

i know im going to need a new motherboard im thinking of getting the msi 970 gaming motherboard

my question is which one of those cpus or any other ones i can get that wont bottleneck the gtx 960 or the new rx 480 thats coming out on

If you are going to be buying a new MB anyway, I would consider the Intel i5 6500. Even the i3 6100 competes against the FX 8350 and would allow a nice upgrade path.

the i3 is a dual core tho ? wouldnt it bottleneck the 960?

Not at all. Dual core, but 4 threads. There might be some slight bottlenecking on a few games with the RX 480, but we'll have to see when it is tested.

If there's any way you can wait until the holidays, there will be other options from AMD by then, like (hopefully) vega or some kind of RX400 variants, and zen cpus/mobos to choose from. If you're set on getting the 480 when it launches toward the end of the month, and can't wait for zen, I'd recommend going with an intel platform over the 6300/8350.

would i need to overclock the 6100 also do u know a good budget cheap motherboard for it ?

Only the Intel K chips are made for overclocking. This would be a nice starter set-up with an extra PCIe x4 slot for future expansion (e.g. NVMe SSD, USB 3.1)

I honestly don't think any current AMD cpu is going to give a significant bump over the 860k in most games. The 860k already has the best single thread performance of the bunch, and unless a game can use more than 4 cores, the extra cores arent going to help.

Either wait for Zen, or go intel.
