My friend is building a pc soon and he has asked me to gather the parts, here is the build on pc part picker: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/4nj2f7
He is not planning on ocing and he will be editing gaming and streaming. Thanks! If you can make a better build for the price then post the pc part picker link in the comments!

That build looks good. The only thing I would put in is a 256gb SSD as scratch and another small (128gb) SSD for the OS as that will definitely speed up render times when editing.

what monitor is he on. if it's a 1080p screen 2 970's is a waste of cash as 1 will be enough. if it's multiple monitors you might want to look at r9-290x, as the vram issues with the 970 handicap it in SLi at high resolutions.

1 screen 1080p - 1 970 is great
1 screen 1440p - 1 970 is good, 2 970s is better
multiple screens or higher resolutions, where vram usage is high -> r9-290x is better then the GTX 970

if he's just on one screen drop one 970, and add a high quality video capture card. that will do more for his system then anything else.

Assuming the system is never going to be overclocked (basing this on the fact that it is using an E3), a good quality 650W PSU would be excellent here. The ST70F-ESB is actually more like a 550W PSU if held to the same standards that nicer made units are held to, so I would call it a little on the weak side for this build.

Technically speaking, it is very unlikely than an E3 + GTX970SLI +system (chipset/ram/bridges/ethernet/sound/superIO/USB/perihperals/drives/fans) will ever pull more than ~550W from a PSU, so even the mediocre ST70F-ESB would manage this, but it's not the best way to go about this.

An Antec TruePower Classic 650W would be my choice for this build, assuming you're looking to keep costs down.
