Hey guys, so I admittedly have a very first world problem. I have a thermaltake power supply that has blue leds and is 750W. It is very loud. I was wondering if any of you have any idea for a good quiet (leds would be nice but not necessary) power supply. It would be cool to be able to control the fan in some way but doesn't have to. I need about 750-800 watts and modular. Efficiency doesn't matter all too much. I'm not paying the power bill lol. Fully modular would also be cool. Here is the kicker. It needs to be under $90. Thanks guys!

Look into the EVGA 750W G2 power supply. It has ECO fanless mode where the fan doesn't even run. Heck, I can't even hear when the fan does run on my G2.

However, that might be a bit above your budget. First off, what are your system specs? Chances are your build uses under 600W.

heres the thing i found one thats $99 but its really hard to find something cheaper as it can lead to PSU failure in the future. trust me if a cheap PSU fails then it WILL take down the mobo or fry the northbridge or fry the graphics card and ect. you get what you pay for so please dont go el cheapo on the PSU

My build currently only takes 480W according to pcpartpicker but I want to upgrade the 770 to a 980ti in the future. Also, my pc is heavily overclocked.

or hold off and try to catch the evga g2 850 for like 100 bucks after rebate -- looks like prices are going up for the black Friday sale so they can be marked down to slightly more then they were regular sale price at any other time through out the year [ lol ]

I could of swore that g2 850 was 98 bucks after rebate just last week at Newegg it was the first thing I though of when I seen this thread
