Hi m8s, good day
I'm building a custom pc and i got all the parts except the cpu so far, and i was planning to get he I5 4460, But i heard the 4590 and 4690 are a better choice, Both the 590 and 690 are at the same price where i live $200, And i do plan to use the pc for utter gaming nothing else. I watched some vids on youtube showing there is about 5-6fps between the 460 and 590, And about 8-10fps between 460 and 690 in most modern games, So is it worth the price difference?..
my specs
MSI B85-G43
MSI R9 380 4GB
XFX TS 550 80 Bronze
CM Nepton 240m

If they are about same price then go with the 4690. If 4690 is considerably expensive, then no need for it. Go with 4590. Both are decent cpu and you personally wont notice difference between them. Seriously, who can every time differentiate between 58 fps and 53 fps?
go with an i3 as good or better than an i5 as u get hyperthreading makes a diffrence the new i5s dont utilize hyperthreading it makes a diffrence funnily enough the i3 are a bit cheaper but for gaming with ur vid card combo shud handle what u throw at it

A BIG NO

- hyperthreading is only good for livestreaming or decreasing video rendering times.
believe me 4 real strong cores make a huge difference.

get the i5 4460, the 4590 4690 give u a minor boost since games rely the most on a graphics card(avg 80%).
the i5 4460 is the best abng/buck solution

depends on what ur throwing at it or core design to & output i3s go as good i had a mixed results & i3 have staggered & surprised me i am an i5 i7 fan but the i3s are as good or better depending the purpose & how much u open up the set up & os & bios & mb type i done budget i3s that eat i5s & i7s fitting irony & tested many diffrent set ups

nono its true you will see the same results in games liek csgo or league but that is because they UTILIZE max 2 cores.
