Question Good CPU under 40 that won't bottleneck HD 7970 or GTX 970

I am trying to build a budget PC and I found an MSI GTX 970 4GB for only £75 but if i get it will an i5 2500 will the cpu bottleneck? Preferably a good cpu but with also an affordable motherboard too.

Look on offer up and let go for a 3.4 ghz i5 or am3 or newer with atleast 8gb ram

I was running my gtx 970 with a q9550 (year 2008 technology) and it only bottlenecked the gpu slightly. The i5-2500 has a higher clock and is 3 years newer, so it should get the job done. It benchmarks 50% better than the q9550.

if able to get a the 2500, the 2600 can't be terribly much more, and has double the threads...and is (or should be) the obvious choice
