Hi, i have recently acquired a old HP xw4300 in my school eDump. the computer works after i upgraded the ram to 4GB and added a hard drive for the os and apps. my friend wants the computer for hosting a small game server and light gaming (only minecraft). now im thinking about first upgrading ram to 8GB because the computer uses like 80 to 100% of its ram while on google chrome. the OS is Windows 7 Pro. then after the 8GB upgrade, ill be adding in a graphics card and thats why im here. what kind of graphics card would you recommend for this computer? because at first i bought a cheap Radeon HD 5450 for it (Diamond brand) then the computer would blue screen during driver installation. So i just returned that card and now im looking for one that would be able to run in the computer. i dont think my friend even cares what goes under the hood of the computer so can you guys find something under $100? it can be either NVIDA or AMD. also im looking for a SSD to use as a boot drive then put the hard drive as a mass storage drive for this computer so any recommendations? also do you guys think the blue screen issue is a cpu overheat problem? because when i first got the computer i dont think the school ever serviced them so the thermal paste on the CPU right now might be over 10 years old and all dried up.

HP xw4300 has a 460Watt PSU and a PCIe x 16 slot. Any card that recommends a 460W or less PSU will work as long as this PSU has the correct PCI-e 6/8 Pin Power connectors. An old GTX9800 GT or the like would be nice if you can find one. I have one at home and happen to notice them going for ~$120 on ebay/amazon
