My specs are: Intel - Core i7-6700K 4 GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU :MSI - Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX LGA1151 Motherboard: NZXT - Kraken X62 Rev 2 98.17 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler: NZXT - Phantom 530 (Black) ATX Full Tower Case:

Not sure if my temps are high or not I get about 65c max sometimes 66-67c 30-35 idle? I also have 2 1080s sli not water cooled and 2 room fans blowing towards the case I also have one fan up pulling in air and 2 smaller ones in the bottom pulling in air and one side fan pulling in air with one back fan as the exhaust.

Temps are fine. Idle temps are more an indicator for airflow, which seems pretty normal range for someone running Airconditioner or room temps in low 70's °F. Load temps are under 70°C, so still in the safe zone.

Liquid or air at your level is the same thing, you don't seem to be pushing an uber high OC on a powerful cpu like a 9900k, or you would have said as much. A slightly bigger or more effective cooler will get you slightly lower load temps, possibly, but it's really of no concern as you are well within the cpus normal spec'd range of operation.

Your temps are fine, as is, for what you have. There's a very big difference between the heat output of a 6700k and a 9900k, so you'll have to revisit your cpu cooler decision after you finally make the move.

You are running Cam software and at least the Silent mode fan curve on that X62 correct?
