Hi i'm just going to make this short, sweet and simple.

I'm looking for a laptop that can play minecraft at around 100fps, stream Netflix, download movies, play movies and obviously has a hdmi or mini hdmi or any sort of port that i can connect it up to my tv.

My budget is £400 max. Please look on mostly UK sites since i don't want import tax etc.

Here's a few i've found are they any good?

I don't know what distance you sit at but 27 is definitely bigger than 24 inches so you would definitely notice the difference. 1080 isn't worse per say, it's just the pixels are larger so if you sit too close they may be noticeable.

You pretty much have to get a 1080p monitor if you are getting 144 Hz unless you really want to spend allot of money. In addition you are going to sacrifice image quality and viewing angles unless, once again, you spend allot of money. I'd no recommend a 144 Hz monitor unless you are willing to spend allot to get an IPS one. Otherwise the off viewing angles of TN is going to make it look horrid.

This laptop need a GPU if he want to play CS:GO. the problem is, all laptops with GPU cost a lot more, then you need to find an option to get a better laptop with a dedicate GPU.

CSGO doesn't not require much power at all. The GPU integrated into that Intel i5 is more than enough to run an esport game like CSGO.

The HD 4400 can get 90 FPS on low and 56 on medium. Very excellent.

Yeah but if you see the resolution on any benchmark. 1300x768 even less than a HD. It's really low resolution. I think he need to search for 900p to 1080p laptop.

he needs an i5, ssd and like a gt 740 or some low end card or just integrated, These games are not crazily intensive
I have a 900p monitor and it looks great i think a 900p labtop would be good for a game like csgo and minecraft, Unless he wants to use SEUS shaders with 128x texture packs and have parallax textures on minecraft lol then he should be good with integrated graphics or a low end card

im agree with you, a low end Mobile card can give you all he want, even a NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M or more can give him the 900p 60 fps.

He said the same thing I said yet you disagree with me and agree with him? WTF?

Nope, you said in your first post, the laptop cpu graphics (integrated graphics) can run the game well, and i told you, he need a Dedicated graphic card like GT to play on 900p or more. if im wrong sorry.

That maybe what you thought but your first post just says

"This laptop need a GPU if he want to play CS:GO. the problem is, all laptops with GPU cost a lot more, then you need to find an option to get a better laptop with a dedicate GPU. "

no mention of any resolution.

Yeah, ok. Sorry. Need a GPU if you want a better resolution.

This is true and i was looking at laptops with i5 5200u and HD 5500 which is even better!

Yeh he is right and i only need i5 maybe ssd and integrated graphics around 5500, 5000 series will be good enough for the both. 8gb ram maybe?

What AMD iGPU would match that performance of a 920m or around that then?

Ah, looks like the laptop I linked has sold. You seem to know what you need so I'd recommend you look around ebay for some refurbished laptops. I've found that many times refurbished are just as good or better than a new laptop because you know they work. As you can see the really good deals don't last very long so it's pretty pointless to post them here.

Ah ok could you just link me a few refurbished laptops or just there names I know where to look and how to find it I'm just having difficulty picking between laptops for the same cpu for example and which one is best for the price you pay and the features they have.

Thanks for your replies but it seems all the ones you linked are from the US and come with rediculous postage charges.

Are any of these any good?

Those are both good.

The first one has more graphical power and a larger screen but only SSD cache, not a full SSD. 1 TB hard drive if you need space. More RAM as well.

The second one has less graphics power (but still more than you need) and a full SSD but not hard drive, so you cannot store allot of videos. Smaller screen.

I'd suggest the first one if you have the money. That's the lowest price on that right now and you're getting quite a lot for it.

Yeh i agree, i would prefer the bigger screen. I'm not to fussed about ssd since its only going to affect program start up times and boot times which is not a necessity and it wont impact or affect game fps performance at all if not that much 1 or 2 fps. Ram 4gb is enough and 8gb is plenty but if it comes with a much better graphics card i would rather have that and then i could upgrade ram in future unlike a laptop GPU.

Thanks everyone for you contribution I have now found a few laptops that I'm looking at. After a long think about it where a laptop will come in useful and how much it will be used I'm not to sure it's worth my money I already have a desktop pc with amazing specs that are capable of any game I want to play so I have decided I am going to get a new monitor. Either 144hz or another ips, most likely the 144hz. I do play cs go but am struggle to decided between 24 or 27 inches with the question being the distance I sit at it will I be able to see It all in my perifrel vision when I'm playing cs go. And is 1080p really that much worse on a 27 inch monitor? I do know that It will help with productivity with that extra space.
