Good Monitor All Around

Hey!

I'm looking for a new monitor and I'd appreciate some suggestions that would fit my needs.

I used to play a lot of games but recently I've been playing less. Needless to say, when I play I want a good refresh rate and an excellent response time. However, most gaming-grade monitors I have found have much too few colors. I want something that will display an amazing picture, but at the same time be good for games.

If you have any suggestions please let me know.

What kind of GPU do you have? If it's an AMD, there are lots of Freesync monitors out there. As far as color: look for an IPS type panel. Do you want 1080p, or higher (like 1440p)?

Currently I don't have a computer, but I'm going to buy a custom built one with either a 1070 or 1080. I'm fine with 1080p but 1440p would be great!
