Im sure all the parts are compatible but im wondering is this a good build? Is there other options that might be more cost effective? I am going for a white/purple look purple would come from lighting mostly. I already have bought the case, power supply, and motherboard.

Quality unit, good choice.

You could also look to custom sleeved cables or extensions, to add purple/white for your PSU cables...

Not really, probably better in "systems" - I'll see if I can get this moved for you. Don't start a new thread for this topic though.

As for the issue with your friends computer, no.... that should have it's own thread. As for "where" to put it.... really depends on your initial thoughts (ie is the problem "CPU" etc). If you don't have any idea, then "systems" is probably the best place for it too.
Depends what you're looking to do with it.

From the spec, I'd assume gaming, predominantly?

If so, it's solid. What PSU did you buy?

Liquid cooling for a locked CPU is overkill - you could achieve lighting results with something like an H7 Quad-Lumi or similar, while saving >$120.

You could put the money saved towards a stronger GPU....

Not quite "white", it's silver.... but close enough once you have lighting, I would think.
It also has RGBs for "EVGA"... which you could set to purple?

This is the Power Supply i bought
