I build a PC with
-GTX980 4GB
-AMD Fx-6350
-8GB of ram
-MSI 970 gaming motherboard

But I dont get more then 150 fps on CSGO while playing TDM or competitive with having almost everything on low. What is the problem?????!?!?! Im playing on a 144hz monitor.

Solution

No the fx 8350 is a horrible cpu, go with sonthing like a I7 4770 or the I5 counterpart.
Why on earth would you pair a GTX 980 with an FX 6350?!

Definately a CPU bottleneck, a 6350 at stock will not push enough to give you that much fps. Can you overclock at all? Will help a lot.

The 980 can push 150fps at 4k res on CS:GO. That test was with an i7 at stock.

Would a AMD FX-8350 Black Edition CPU in stock do the thing??? And maybe I could Liquid Cool it later?

Agree

Goddammit, then I will need to change the MOBO, and I dont want to pay a lot of money to buy new cpu and MOBO
Is there any good AMD CPU's????!?!

If you are getting 150fps on your 144hz screen, is that not enough?

You may be able to overclock for some extra performance, but not all cpus overclock as well as others and the stock cooler may not be upto the task.

A quick way to check for a bottleneck is to see if the gpu usage is lower than 90+ percent when your frame rate is uncapped. If it is, the gpu is waiting on the cpu if it is not(lets say it was at 95%+), it would mean the gpu(video card) was not keeping up. In your case I would have to guess the cpu as others have.

That is true, if you want to save some money go with the FX8350. But if you want preformance you will need to switch to intel I am afraid. You can save a couple of bucks with buying a I5. Are you using youre pc for editing?

No, Im not using my PC for editing. Im using my PC just for gaming different games.

Then you dont need a I7, you will be fine with a I5 that save's about 100 bucks. I understand it is pretty expensive but you will get more out of youre system with a I5 then a FX8350.

ps. sorry for the bad english.
