Good pc running games badly windows update

Hello, I have a gtx 1060 6GB ,ryzen5 1600 , 16gb ddr4 2933mhz ram. my games like counter strike global offense runs on 50 fps with stutters my Fornite runs on 30 fps and also with stutters i started to look on Youtube but
it didn't help me. I am to afraid to reset my windows because i have certain school stuff that i can't reinstall . i tried re-downloading my games and checked for viruses. i think it's a windows update error but i don't know how to fix it. I would like to hear what you guys have to say and thank you for helping.

Check to see if there is anything strange happening running a gaming benchmark with hwmonitor, and see if the temps and clocks are ok, if its all ok then make a backup of windows and reinstall it that way you wont lose important stuff.
