So while I was playing Team Fortress 2, my ping rose to 300 (usually 60). So I did a speed test and it showed that my ping was good and shouldn't be at the 300 range. I was testing some recording softwares before this happened and was wonder if it was the cause. The programs I used were overwolf and open broadcast system

Any help is appreciated thanks!

Well, you did a ping test to a location that near your house. Where is the server you're connecting to? If it's not in the same city, the ping test you posted doesn't hold any weight.

Typically pings rise the further you are away from a server or when someone else is using the internet when you're gaming.

300ms is pretty bad. If it's because he's "far away", he must be very far away.

As you can tell, I'm near Chicago, but even Japan, Australia, and Singapore are well under 300ms from me.

I should add, New York City to LA is 69ms. You should almost never see more than 70ms from any two points in the mainland USA. Well, Miami Florida to Seattle Washington is about 76ms, and that's nearly the two furthest points you'll get, 3300 miles.
