Hi! Making a gaming build and was wondering if this is a good one, thanks! Note: I will leave prices so if you think theres better parts for the price, please say so.


Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150 $144.99

Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz) $339.99

Ram: G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM $164.99

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 750G2 80PLUS Gold Certified $109.99

Case: CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced - Gaming Mid Tower $89.99

Graphics Card: SAPPHIRE TRI-X OC 100362-2SR Radeon R9 290 4GB $419.99

Hard Drive: Some old Western Digital 2TB

SSD: Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series 250GB $118.99(Don't need, if more money for GPU is needed can take out)

Great build but you don't need 16GB, thats overkill. Take your ram down to 8gb and add the money into the graphics card. Please remember the better your graphics card, the higher fps you will get aswell as graphics. For your ram, i would look at the 8GB G.Skill ripjaws X. Also, look at the GTX 770 OC. EVGA has good cooled ones.
