Google Chrome Craziness

So i've only had my asus rog gaming laptop for a couple of days and i installed google chrome but its not working right. Whenever i click a link it opens a pop up ad in another window, pop ups are everywhere even with adblock installed and whenever i click the chrome icon it pulls a homepage ive never seen before. Can i already have a virus after just a couple days? What do i to fix it?

Then you installed some malware or something it seems. Chrome doesn't come with any "ad's", those only from something you installed, so it's not googles fault, it's yours. Adblock blocks legit ad's, not spam/malware. You need to scan your PC. Try something like Malwarebytes to start with. If it's a new PC, it should have windows defender in it too, which is another one to scan with.

I installed wow and some drivers for my graphics card so i don't know what i could have downloaded. So if i do find the malware or whatever's causing it how would i remove it?
