Google Chrome frustration

So, it was working fine up until this morning but now youtube will just freeze like every other video and after a few minutes of it frozen google chrome asks me if i want to kill the page or wait. I've tried uninstalling chrome and reinstalling already and that didn't solve the issue. Anyone have any insight as to why on earth this is happening? ><
