[citation][nom]anamaniac[/nom]Yes, how do these happen? From what I understand, Halo/CoD are for sissies, and Crysis Wars/Battlefield are macho.Good job Google. You surprised millions and put a smile on our faces, even the ones who weren't even born when the game was made.[/citation]

Too bad there's still the old timers that believe these "rot your brain"...as they gaze completely motionless at the TV watching baseball for three hours straight.

[citation][nom]TA152H[/nom]I hate to say it, but Pacman and its successors were the girly games at the time. As a guy, you really didn't want to play this game, or be seen playing it.It's kind of funny how even video games had that stigma. Defender, for example, was a "macho" game, in contrast to Pacman. I have no idea how these things are made up, but I do remember it existing.[/citation]

What the H are you talking about? At the time, no girl would be caught within 100 yards of a video game arcade. ALL the games where for boys. And the lines for pac-man always long. Ms. Pac-man is another story.

The best part of that day was a co-worker asking "is that Mario?"

I kid you not, and the rest of us didn't let him live it down all day.

What are you speaking of? I grew up in the late 70s 80s. All of my friends played Packman and Mrs. Packman. It was NOT considered a girly game.

lol sometimes I think complaining/bullshitting on the internet gets so thick you can cut it with a knife. This game was out when we were kids and didn't need to worry about being macho or not lol. Defender is a macho game? I remember in the 80s I was at a girl's house and all the girls were playing Defender. None of these games are gender based man you must be on some serious pills lol.

"Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man were girly games at the time? Huh?"

Take it from someone who was playing arcade games even before they had CRTs, this is absolute horsecrap. A good game was a good game, that was it. Where was your arcade back then, in a prison?

If any game was a "Macho" game, it would have been Gravitar because nobody could basically play the damn thing.

Keep the BS jock locker-room mentality AWAY from my classic games, huh?
