I hope this creates a precedent. CDMA, contracts, and locking IMEI, ESN, MEID need to go away. Phones and service need to be sold as separate entities.

So far StraightTalk ($45 for unlimited everything) is the best I found, here in the states. Anyone found anything better?

You know companies sell consoles at a loss too and do fine.
Google want people using their stuff. so they get for search traffic. That's the bit they sell and make money from.
