Actually £159 is a very good price considering that it already includes 20% VAT (sales tax). Most companies just swap out the dollar sign for the pound sign.

And at least the UK is getting the Nexus 7 right away. Amazon still isn't selling the Kindle Fire there.

Well, take the 20% VAT off the price, which leaves you with £160. The current exchange rate is $1.56:£1, so multiply £160 by that, making $249.60. That really isn't bad.

thanks, silverblue! still, (lame question, i know) is it, by any chance, the same 20% vat ptg i mean, to be applied for the us product as well?
because, if i understand your math correctly, for a perfect price balance between these two continents currencies, the american 16gb nexus7 should cost approx 310$... :)
