@ CaedenV; A refreshingly well stated comment.
any fanboy-ism is an intellectual failure. Whether you are buying Google, MS, Apple or whatever's next. People can hate on Apple all they want, but Blackberrys and Sidekicks are all that come to mind in the Pre-iPhone days. That and my terrible Windows Mobile 5 "stylus touch" slider.
I agree wholly that Jobs was most valuable in his ability to say no to releasing something that didnt meet his expectations for function. Corporate boards see only how much they have invested, and how much they can get in return. So to them, releasing garbage is acceptable if people will buy it.
Jobs was an idealist. Focused on the average computer illiterate user. He put more power into their hands than what they had, and they didnt have to read a book/(some obscure forum) to use it.
Multi touch, Retina, a media distribution contender to tame the MPAA and Record Companies' greed, and a wholly unmatched focus on quality Industrial Design. These are all things that Apple has brought to market standard, if not invented, that you use on your (insert-brand-here) smartphone.
TL/DR: Apple is going to miss Jobs. They released a pile of sh-- and Google is laughing.
