Hello all!
I'm trying to update my BIOS as an attempt to fix an issue with a new GPU that I got (GTX 650), the problem is after installing it the PC won't boot. Then I plugged my older GPU (GeForce 310 GT) and the thing boots perfectly. I noticed when I press the power button for the first time with the GTX 650 installed it -tries- to move it's fans, but nothing else moves, the PC just doesn't boot like if I doesn't have it plugged to power. A friend tested the new GPU and it worked fine on his end.
So I am trying to update my BIOS to see if I can make it work. My Mobo model (according to Hwmonitor) is PEGATRON IPMIP-H55-INSPUR.
My Bios according to system info is AMI 007, october 20, 2010.
I searched on the AMI site but I am not sure which of the firmware they offer is the one that I need.
Right now I have a few theories on why my PC doesn't boot:
1) BIOS needs an update
2) my generic 600w PSU
3) Molex to PCI 6 pin adapter might be broken. I am not really comfortable with those (and I shouldn't).
Help and thank you, and have a merry christmas!
