Well, I got my computer built and it runs alright. However, windows will not load completely. I keep getting this error- windows protection error, must restart system??? When I go into safe more, my CD-ROM drive is nowhere to be found. No idea what is going on here, can anyone help?
Thanks,
Ryan

Gladiac GeForce
128 RAM
60 GB maxtor
newest BIOS (1004D)
BIOS recognizes the CD-ROM

sounds like the proc. is overheated or the RAM is not stable enough.

<font color=orange>What do you think? </font color=orange>

must be overheated processor, try running it at some lower frequency, say 800 MHz. or try changing RAM.
if not, just remove the display card drivers (even delete them from c:\windows\inf\other dir) and let the system run on standard vga driver, although it may not be the display card.

girish

I know that the processor is not over heating, however, it could be the RAM. Voltage appears to be a little hight on the BIOS @ 3.45V as opposed to 3.3V I will check it out and get back to you. Thanks for the help,
Ryan
