[SOLVED] Got myself new 2 x 16GB 3600mhz but it won't go over 2667mhz

I had 2x8GB 2400mhz before which ran fine but I wanted an upgrade so I switched to 2x16GB 3600mhz. Now the frequency is stuck at 2667mhz even If i try to change it in the bios after the restart the settings will reset. It DOES change to 3600mhz if I only use one stick tho. I got them in A2 and B2. Anything I can do about it? Thanks in advance.

You have chosen 3600MHz OC RAM however your CPU officially supports DDR4-1866/2133 @ 1.35V.
There is no guarantee they will achieve their rated frequency however you should try if they work with 1 stick.

Try playing around with the SPD values and increase the Dram voltage slightly and keep an eye on the DRAM temp.
CPUz will give you your SPD Primary values under the SPD tab. Write down the values and manually enter them in Bios DRAM timing control.

You have chosen 3600MHz OC RAM however your CPU officially supports DDR4-1866/2133 @ 1.35V.

Looks like my B1 and B2 slots are limited to 2667mhz which is weird I guess. I now got them in A1 and A2 and they both run at 3600mhz now. Thanks anyways

No that's not it. You just had them in the wrong DIMM slots LOL.

Yes, but you certainly lost dual channel as per your manual page 16

So, it all depends if your PC runs quicker in single channel RAM at 3600 MT/s, or in dual channel at 2666. Now, if you really need more RAM it is irrelevant.
