Acer X27 4k 144hz, finally! Will test and do a review on it.

Which system will be faster? Planning to run some of the top games, 3d mark, etc.

5ghz 8700k with 2x titan XP SLI stock

4.8ghz 7900x with 2x 1080ti sli, watercooled and overclocked

Stay tuned!

Either CPU/GPU combo will be damned fast, obviously. The 7900x is aimed more at workstation use where tons of cores are most helpful. It's not clear that consumer uses, even high end gaming have caught up with 10 core/20 thread CPUs though and the 8700k will be a bit faster per thread. With the first option you'd get a more balanced setup.

First impressions so far:

Colors are great, really deep blacks, and it's very vibrant on windows desktop. Was factory calibrated, but some icons still seem a bit off, may need some new gpu drivers in the future.

Build quality is OK, stand is strong, but back is a lot of plastic and input port area is hard to get to. Feels pretty much same or slightly less build quality than my $700 4K 60hz Acer Predator monitor.

Battlefield 1 looks great with HDR, when the light hits your face, you can really tell the difference. Getting around 90FPS on Ultra with SLI 1080ti.

Assassins Creed looks great too - very colorful. Doesn't support SLI, so getting 50-55FPS on highest settings.

144hz is great, buttery smooth, and no screen tearing so far.
