I'm considering the use of folder redirection for the my documents folder in
our domain. My question is.....

#1. when does this policy take? ie not until the user logs on, or when the
policy is set does it search domain wide and make all needed changes?

#2. on the settings tab you have the option of "redirect the folder back to
the local userprofiel location when the policy is removed. Same question as
#1, when does all of this happen? also, when the policy is removed and the
folder is redirected to it's original location, are the my docs files that
were redirected to the server share erased also?

Thankyou

Folder Redirection Group Policy is applied at user logon, unless the user
is detected to be using a slow link.

No. However, whether the contents of the redirected folder is copied
back to the local machine depends on the the policy removal option.
