I thought my Primary Storage (1.5TB) HDD just died.

When I go into disk management I see this:

What in sams hell is a GPT Protective Partition?
How can I fix this without reformating?

I get perfect health in CrystalDiskInfo:

What the hell is wrong with my drive!? I have a project due tomorrow and I need the installed programs.. My Video project is on Premiere Pro on the HDD..

I can recover all the files, but all that effort in editing will be gone.

Does ANYONE know how I can get the drive out of 'Protective GPT Partition' 'mode' and back to a normally working drive?

The only thing I can think of that could cause this was the 'Link Shell Extension' program that I installed yesterday.

To make a symbolic link for my iTunes backup (low-capacity SSD)

4 hours to scan drive, 3 hours to recover files and 1 more hour to get everything working again.. it's 3:18 right now. I still have a bunch of editing to do.

The first error I got was a BSoD Unexpected_Store_Exception.

Post your thoughts down below, and if anyone knows anything about this then I beg of you to help me.

Thanks.

I solved it, I installed a program called Link Shell Extension and that is what totally ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ME over xD

Almost had a heart attack, almost lost 35% of my mark..

I implore that when installing any system invasive software such as Link Shell Extension (the thing blocked access to my HDD ,_,) you backup before (Partition image backup) and then after that, restart immediately after installing to be able to see if the software you installed isn't going to break your computer.
