GPU 106 degrees Celsius and Game Lag

My Geforce GT 625 is reaching 106 degrees celsius while I was playing Paladins. The GPU didn't heat up that much before. It only got up to like 93 degrees, but within a month, it reached 106. The game never lagged. I got 90+ FPS on the game before my GPU began to overheat. Now, the game is only getting up to 20 FPS no matter what the settings are. BeamNG.drive is the same. Before, there was no lag, but now there is a load of lag. I think it is to do with the GPU overheating and throttling itself.

By the way, I have cleaned my fans a few weeks ago. My CPU is doing fine at 40 degrees celsius.

Anyone know what I should do?

I would try to apply new thermal compound, and use Vsync to keep it from overheating in the future.

remove the GPU cooler, clean it and apply new thermal paste
