GPU 970 Compadibility

I want to know if I upgrade from a GTX 750ti to a Galax 970 or 980 GPU using a Gigabyte 970A-UD3 motherboard and AMD-6300 FX CPU would I come across any problems? Also upgrading my RAM from 8GB to 16GB.

My psu is currently a 600watt

You will not face any problem by this upgrade.......
If you are using 32bit windows then switch to 64bit version after the upgrade.

Ok thanks that's great to know, which would be better for the near future? The 970 or 980 because I plan on switching over to Intel and building a skylake build. But obviously I'll be working with my AMD 6300
