GPU and CPU turns off but not the power supply HELP!

I am having trouble where my gpu will get up to 80c when i play world of warcraft on high settings and will run there for 15-20 mins and turns off the gpu and cpu but the psu is still running. i thought the gpu could handle 70c-80c. help please

cpu - amd fx 6300
8gb ram
gtx 580 ds
mb - asrock 880gm-le-fx
psu- corsair cx600

everything is new but the gpu

True 80c is about average running temp. Try checking if removing the side panel solves the issue. The card dumps most of the heat into the case. If the cpu or other MB components are overheating, the MB will shut the system down. The PSU will still be on as you describe. If opening the side helps then you need to improve your case ventilation. Also check to see that all the fans on the card run. If you have overclocked try setting to factory settings to check if the shut down stops.
