[SOLVED] Gpu black screen and fan goes 100%max

Hello I am dealing with a situation right now with my gpu when I turn on my computer it works fine but after a couple seconds my screen goes black screen and gpu fan goes to the max. I can’t tell if my monitor either has no display to the gpu or the it just goes black screen.
My pc is still running tho it’s just my video card fan goes to the max
I’ve installed my gpu to another slot on my motherboard to see if that works but it doesn’t change it has the same results

Full specs are

gpu :GeForce gtx 950
Motherboard :asrock x79 extreme 6
Atx-sn 900 w power supply
CPU:I7 -3820 cpu 3.60ghz
Ram:Corsair vengeance pro series 3 8gb 2400mhz
Ssd: Intel ssd 530 series 240 gb
Forgot hard drive spec


I’ve had this issue before and I was able to fix it but don’t remember how I fix it

any advice will help

Do you have an APEVIA PSU ? If yes, then this might be the culprit here, IMO. This is not a trustworthy PSU brand. Apevia is bottom of the barrel, assuming you are rocking this particular brand.

Are you able to start up in safe mode without this happening? Or does it happen there as well?

Nope I’m not able to do any of that

Have you tried a clean driver install first of all? Is the gpu overclocked? Have you tried replacing the gpu thermal paste?

I’ve tried a cleaner driver. Don’t know if my gpu is overclocked and don’t know how to do it and un overclock it. Haven’t replace the thermal paste because the screws are jam so I can’t unscrew it. Bought this pc used and that’s why I having issues with it
