GPU Cooling with thermoelectric peltier cooler, is it possible?

Is it possible to cool a R9 290(x) with this module (when I hook it up to the 12V lane of my PSU)? And is it possible to cool the module with this cooler?

I know it would be easier and probably better to just use the Raijintek cooler, but is it possible?

Sure, why not? Actually, I hooked a peltier to my PSU once and ended up burning my finger
Try a heavy-duty resistor on the positive wire though, wouldn't want the peltier breaking from too much power.

Cheap chinese TEC's like the one you linked to will probably not last very long (seconds, hours, weeks who knows?)

Do you have a spare 400w on your power supply to feed the TEC?

The heatsink you suggested is way too small, it has to cope with the 400w from the TEC as well as 275w or whatever from the GPU. Realistically a custom water cooling setup is the only option with a TEC of that size.
