Gpu core usage 100% crashes

I might have noticed that when im playing some games (elder scrolls online and need for speed: most wanted) the screen goes black and i get the message that your driver has stopped working and has succesfully recovered the game screen stays black but i can still hear the sounds. After testing this out i noticed this happens when my gpu core usage goes to 99 and 100 percent. How could i fix this and also i saw a person say i should limit my usage to 98 and it wouldnt crash, would that help temporarily?

I would use DDU to cleanly uninstall all video drivers then reinstall the latest drivers only straight from manufacture.

Then monitor your temps while you gaming. If it gets 85+ then you might be reaching thermal throttling limits.

Thanks ill try this but i tried underclocking my gpu by 30 and putting vsync on and i could play for half an hour and then i tried to put my gpu back to what it was and it happened again, now atleast i have a temporary methid to play

Sounds like a heating issue but without montioring temps cant be sure. Try downloading HWMointor and check your temps.

Sorry but the problem was when i gave my computer to repair they put in a 275w psu in when my gpu needed 400

Thats odd. Normally you dont even get any video if the PSU isn't high enough to power the card.
