[SOLVED] Gpu Cpu bottleneck help

Just upgraded my graphics card confused on the performance of the card. When I'm playing Fortnite the GPU is usually between 40-60 % usage Cpu at 30 %. Wondering why my machine doesn't push for more usage.

Could it be because I am using a stretched res? Which isn't as demanding

Running a gtx 1060 with an i7 5820k

Frames arent capped at all

How many fps are you getting? Is there a single core hitting close to 100% it doesn't matter max usage, just one core takes most of the load on fortnite

Getting around 240-280 frames, and yeah two of my cores are running around 70-90 percent usage. Just want more consistent frames, tired of my frames dipping under 200 in some instances.

Nothing you can do except oc your processor if you haven't already done so. They'll still drop they'll just start higher. There's no way to stop them from dropping from max as it's a more demanding time

yeah good point . Well appreciate the help man .Just worried my gpu is under performing .Well ima give O.C my CPU a try and see if its worth it.

Mostly just read exactly what a bottlneck is and how the fps is actually determined. Many people think it works like you think it does. It doesn't work that way exactly
