GPU crashed in game and won't display video anymore

I recently upgraded my r9 280x's cooling system using the kraken g10 to water cool it. It workeddd properly for the past week even under load, but today I reapplied thermal paste to the gpu and it crashed under load. Crashed as in video display died instantaneously. It looks like I didn't apply enough thermal paste as some of the chip was bare when I checked after. Is my GPU die or is there hope?

I'm not too sure yet. The temperature may of fried it but I would reapply the thermal paste again, making sure that you rub off the old stuff and if it still doesn't work, you will have to get a new one.

I have reapplied thermal paste to the GPU and I noticed a crack in the GPU. Tried the card again anyway no luck. GPU is die. [Hello darkness my old friend]
