Gf old pc died and I’ve deduced it’s the gpu that’s fubar.
These are the specs - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Wfbsj2

Couldn’t add a case but it’s a bog standard 1 fan exhaust 2 fan intake case.

Need a new gpu or advice on an upgrade budget is 150, of course there’s no point in getting one that bottlenecks the cpu or draws too much power for the psu.
Cheers

Solution
In fact I just did a bit more research and I can use an adapter to make the 6 pin into an 8 pin, connector and according to pc part picker I have 162 watts left until it maxes out my PSU, does that open up any possibilities ?
Nonononononnonono.
NEVER use adapters, they are a fire hazard.
They often dont even transfer enough power to the gpu and they can cause the gpu to fry itself.
Only use the clean power from the psu connectors.Psu sleeve extensions are another thing.
What pcpartpicker said was that you need 188W to TURN THE SYSTEM ON,not to play games.Wattage required for the gpu drastically increases when playing a game, especially on the newer ones.
I would get the 1050ti since it has 4gb of vram, and that will 100% come in...
Something else to consider is there’s only one singular 6 pin gpu cable on the psu so if the new gpu requires anymore I’d need a new psu anyway because it’s a modular psu currently unless there’s any workarounds to that ?

With that weak of a powersupply and with that i5 i would consider a 1050Ti without external power connectors like this one
Having a look on eBay and the card that just died a gtx 960 2gb is almost half the price of the 1050ti and they’re on par for performance so do you think it’s worth just rebuying the 960 2gb instead or is there another 6 pin connector gpu out there that beats the 960 ?
