I just bought another stick of the exact same model and brand RAM. Everything was fine until I plugged it in. Once booted, and my GPU driver starts up the screen freezes for a few seconds, goes black and turns back on and freezes again over and over again while getting the radeon wattman message that the driver crashed settings were reset to default. I have an RX 580 8GB and the AMD drivers are up to date. Tried switching RAM slots, reseating GPU, using DDU and no crashes until I installed Radeon Software once again. I have another GPU to test but it's just a gt 730 so the results probably won't matter. I have an Antec 750w 80+ gold which is also new so I don't think that's an issue either. Also tried swapping out my cable and it didn't do much. With only the new RAM stick in, PC won't boot, and with the old one it boots just fine.

Do you have an XMP/A-XMP profile enabled in the BIOS?

Mixing & matching RAM can be problematic and, while I've never heard of it crashing a GPU driver.... random, strange things can happen.
Have an AMD system, don't have XMP. Can't enable D.O.C.P. Also PC didn't boot when the new ram stick was the only one in the system at the time and/or was in the first slot of a channel.
