[SOLVED] Gpu fan in msi afterburner

I have an MSI rx 5700xt gpu and it’s not like other people have said, going over 80c, under stress it will usually be somewhere in the mid to lower 60s but I wouldn’t mind if it was cooler. In MSI afterburner there is an option to increase the speed of the one fan on my gpu which is currently at 24. Would it be a good idea to raise the speed of the fan. Would it make my gpu cooler without damaging anything. I also don’t care how loud it gets.

Which is your exact GPU model, and how many fans are there on the card ? You can raise the fan speed via MSI AB tool. There is no issue doing this.

It’s the msi rx5700xt, the first one released with the single fan.

Okay, so you might be having the reference blower-type cooler Model. Like I said before, you can safely raise/increase the fan speed via MSI AB tool. There is no issue doing this. It won't damage the GPU though.

Make a note. Since you are having that Single fan GPU model, these cards can get hot and loud as well, when the card is under load. Blower style GPUs can sometimes get noisy as well, but since you don't care about the noise, then you safely increase the Fan speed, if you want to cool down the GPU even further.
