So I was gaming today when I noticed my gpu getting pretty warm around 80C and I checked hwmonitor to see that all of a sudden my gpu fans are at 0rpm but their PWM was at 70%. What is going on here? Are my fans dead or are the spinning. It’s nkt very practical for me to open my case and look as it is a node 202. Is there any other way to check the fan speeds. It sounds like they are spinning but once my gpu cools down it doesn’t sound like they turn off. Thanks

Well maybe the new driver software has new fan control of something of the type, or maybe if the card is old or a bit banged up the fans may have broken, but that is very unlikely on the 970. Often driver updates fix stuff like pushing out less frames or fans not working. But I don't know your exact situation, (nor do I expect you to tell me) Also the temperature measuring software on the drivers if they're old might be a bit buggy.
