Question GPU fan starts up, whirrs, and stops every 5 seconds

I’ve just recently replaced the fans on my MSI 2060 Super. These fans are less than two months old. One of the new fans has recently begun cycles of spinning, a harsh whirring noise, and coming to a halt. The fan does not seem to spin as freely as the other when off, but is infinitely better than its older counterpart it replaced. Any advice on what the issue is or how to fix?

I have tried: restarting, reseating GPU, unplugging fan power cables and plugging back in.

The aftermarket fans for GPUs aren't usually the best.

Nothing says the new fan hasn't broken or never worked right. If you got this from a random e-tailer I wouldn't necessarily trust the quality.

You can try contacting them, but it is probably just easier to order more replacement fans and hope for the best.

Otherwise there is always the strap a pair of 120mm case fans to the heatsink solution.
