I got an rx 580 a few weeks ago, yesterday the fans stopped spinning, even when the gpu was under load. The gpu still displays stuff but the fans are not working which is causing my pc to crash sometimes. Any solution?
The rx580 is new,Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Used, I presume...? To add, there are a number of AIB's out there, which one do you have?
When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
Okay thanks.Hello.
Based on the model you provided, RX580, most likely your card was used as a "miner".
Since a mining rig worked 24/7 for a long time, that leads to fans failure.
At least i changed a lot of fans at my rx580's cards during the mining era.
Basically you have a functional card but your card's fans are failing to operate.
That crashes you got are caused by high temps generated by the GPU and since you have no active cooling the card crashes.
So you need to check if the cable from the fans is inserted correctly in the video card and if yes then you have no other choice but to replace those fans.
How do I check if the fan cable is inserted correctly into the card? If it doesn't work ill probably just try to get it refunded.Hello.

okay thanksyou state the card was bought new. so the mining card theory is not the answer. if it was bought used i'd 100% assume that is the case.
since it is new, i'd not even hesitate to return it for another working one. that's what warranties are for
the fan plugs into the card and is very obvious from pics i could find online. should only take a moment to be sure it is fully seated in the connection.
On the contrary, this card was sold as new, but in fact the card is an ex miner.you state the card was bought new. so the mining card theory is not the answer
