So all was well until this morning. I tried booting up my pc ready to play some games, when for some reason when my pc turned on there was no display all fans where spinning and mouse/keyboard leds were lit up. (worked the day befor and has done for the past year)

Tried restarting my PC about 3 times, no luck. Ended up opening my pc and gave it a clean to see if that was the issue, no luck. Took out GPU and one of the ram cards, then put back in the ram without the GPU and it booted up in the BIOS, all seemed well Windows was diagnosing, restarted and loaded up. I put my GPU back in and thats where the problems occurred, my monitor was black just like it was from the start of this problem. (Btw, i pluged it in the DVI port of the GPU) I ended up reseting my CMOS not knowing what the issue could possibly be and still no luck, now im think the GPU might just be dead even though the fans are still spining. I'm going to try my old GPU that i lent to a friend tomorrow to see if its the mobo.

MY RIG:
CPU: Intel Core I7 3770 ivy bridge 3.4 GHz
RAM: 16Gb of DDR3 1333Mhz ram
MOBO: Asus P8H61 -M LX3 R2.0
GPU: Zotac GTX 950 AMP!
PSU: SENTEY 650W BXP65-OR

PS: Sorry in advance for any gramma mistakes really sleepy and strested right now.

Solution
You already did most of the work. If the other GPU works, then your 950 failed. One more thing you can check is to put your GPU in another PCIe slot (if you have it, Asus website is down atm so can't check).

Thanks for the response , thing is its a micro-ATX so it only has one PCIe 3.0 the 2 others are 1.0

Bit of an Update i put in my old gt 430 and it works fine so, really the only thing that could be wrong is my gtx 950 GPU. But i have a question: so since i bought my new power supply every time i shut down my pc the lights stay on and fans keep spinning as if it were hibernating, i never really cared about it but, is i possible that could have decrested my GPU life span? PS: doesn't happen with the Gt 430 or when there is no gpu in it..

They wouldn't turn off at all longest i recall that i left it like that was 30 mins then i just gave up and clicked the power switch.
