GPU Fans wont spin after BIOS

Hello. I have a problem. My [strike]VGA's[/strike] GPU's fans stop spinning upon entering bios. Also I can't install any drivers for my videocard. I never this problem before so it's probably not lack of energy. Also fans are not broken as they start spinning at the startup for those a few seconds before entering bios where they stop. Please halp

It's customary to include your full system's specs inclusive of your OS. List them as:

Have you made sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date? Have you also made sure your cooler is installed correctly? Provided you're on a latest gen GPU, there is no need for the GPU's fans to spin up unless it's necessary since they have grown quite efficient(in terms of heat dissipation) which is why it's not spinning up in BIOS, again, provided it's current gen and not an old GPU..

Other than fans not spinning are you actually having a issue using the card? Have they ever always spun?

Many modern video card fans don't spin until there is load on the GPU and it reaches a temperature threshold where the fans kick in. They generally do exactly as you describe, spin briefly on boot then stop after they are initialized. After this point they won't spin till the GPU actually is hot enough to need it.

Yes it works but worse. Videos load longer and games too. Would it be safe to test if they start to spin after 15 mins of gaming?

I touched [strike]vga[/strike] GPU and it was very hot. After 30 secs monitor started to blink every minute with some artifacts.

Get something like msi afterburner or a hardware monitoring tool to get real temperatures.

"Very hot" could mean 60C or 110C...

Specific model and brand of video card is also important as they have different features depending on who made it.

It does sound like you have a real problem but ambiguous information doesn't help here.

2| If the fans on the card don't spin up at all even after 5 minutes of game time, then there is an issue with the fans themselves and is an indication of a faulty card. You've already stated that the card shows artifacting which is a sign of overheating or that the drivers themselves are bad.

For clarification he said that the fans spin right when he turns on computer up until bios load. "GPU's fans stop spinning upon entering bios."

Which is all weird...
