Hi everyone! I'm new here and i'm creating my first configuration. I was thinking i'll use my pc for programs like AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, 3DSmax...and some good gaming, mainly online games.

So my friend suggested me to buy a gtx1080 or 1080ti to reach 144fps without problems. What do you think? there are other cheaper possibilities?
Thanks for your attention!

Depends on games & if you don't mind lowering settings a bit as that could save you a considerable amount of money.

Welcome to the forum!

Does it have to be 144hz? I would think for your Photoshop, etc work I would actually go 1440P/IPS or VA/75hz and running that would be fairly easy (Ryzen 2600/B450 MB/2x8gb@3200 RAM/GTX 1660 ti/etc).

yeah i was thinking the same about the 2k IPS, probably better for the graphic use, but i don't really know.
I'm still a student so i don't know if when i'll finish i'll still need to use a pc at home for work, so that's why i opted for a 144hz.

I don't have problems to lower the graphics, obviously depend of what game i'm playing.
