Gpu for 3d

Hello!
I need help here.. I'm going to learn autodesk maya and will be working with some 3d stuff.. I'm currently using ati radeon hd 5570.. I wanna know if an upgrade to nvidia gt 720 2gb is worth it.. I'm kinda low on budget.. Only this cards fits ma budget..

Amd fx 6300
8gb ddr3 ram (4x2)
Radeon hd 5570

i'd say a 720 is not much better than 5570 UNLESS it has features that the 5570 does not have.

So it's better not to update?? Maybe save up some money for something more? And how will the 5570 do when using element 3d?
