GPU for FX-4100 Black Edition

What could be a good GPU combo for an AMD FX-4100 to run titles such as CIV 5 and Black Ops 2 at MEDIUM OR HIGH SETTINGS with some video editing capabilities for Adobe Premiere Pro/ Sony Vegas. I have a 450 Watt PSU at the moment.

Which 450W PSU specifically? The R9 270X requires 2x 6-pin connectors, many 450W PSUs only have a single 6+2 pin PCI-e connector.

Not sure. Will have to check that. Thanks for bringing that up. I ll rather stick with a R9 270 than buying another PSU at the moment. TIMES ARE HARD MAN !! Will have to save up and upgrade to a better CPU GPU and PSU.

The difference between the R9 270 and 270X is very small. The only difference is that the 270X will overclock further since it has access to more power with the extra 6-pin connector. So the R9 270 will perform basically the same unless you were planning to play around with the power limit and push the 270X's limits.

Here's the Asus R9 270-DC2OC-2GD5 for $167 before $20 rebate.

Likely pull around 120w -- 140w peak when maxed. It looks like a single 6-pin connector ...
