Hi guys I'm going to upgrade my GTX 970 since it's falling behind when it comes to video editing.
I'm not a gamer, I do gaming from time to time, not very intensive tittles, The Witcher 3 and Assassins Creed could be easily the most intensive titles I have.
So here's the story: I recently bought a Camera that does 4K HDR content at 10 and 12 bit depth, so the idea is to buy a GPU that can encode & decode 4K HDR 10/12 bit and Rec 2020 at H.265 HEVC since it saves a little bit of space and offers greater quality. Also I own about 13 UltraHD Blu-ray titles so when they're cracked I would also like to back them up since where I live they cost about 40€ each and so far the only copy I've got is the physical disc. Since UHD Blu-ray has similar specs as my camera I can take advantage of that.
I've got a 1080p monitor and a 4K HDR TV (I game on my TV). My budget can be variable I was thinking of the GTX 1070 because the RX 480 is about the same as the GTX 970 but with HEVC 10 bit decode. I would like something that can Handle 4K gaming, 60 fps is not a must so I can cope with 30 fps or high settings instead of ultra.
What GPU do you guys think I should get? Thanks
