GPU for Mirrors edge catalyst??

Hi there, first time posting.

I've been searching around and I need a recommendation, haven't found anything that has answered my question. I got mirrors edge catalyst, and I really want to play it but it doesn't run very well, which is NOT surprising since I have an r7 260x. So it's time to upgrade. I want to play mirrors edge catalyst on max/close to max settings at 1080p. Also if possible, I'd like to order it sooner rather than later.

I have a limited budget, and so the cards I've been looking at are:
Rx 480
GTX 970
Gtx 1070 (400 is my absolute ceiling, would really rather not go that high. 300 is much more preferable)

I've also considered waiting for gtx 1060, but I'm impatient.

Anyway, am I missing any cards I should be considering? Which do you think is best, considering I plan on staying at 1080p for a while, and have a pretty limited budget (300$)?

Also, how much does it matter that ME Catalyst is a nvidia branded game?

I5 6600k
Asus z170 motherboard
8gb ram
Eva 500w psu

The gtx 970 is your best bet. It will max out mirrors edge at 1080p. I would also recommend getting a different power supply as your is of low quality.

Ok, sounds good! Also, if you have the time to answer one last question, I'm trying to learn how to better build pcs. How did you decide which one is best? (Both the gtx 970 and that specific model)?
